I really have to note this down so that Charlene meimei will know what she had done really make me feel so proud when she reads my blog in future.
Charlene meimei make me a proud mommy when i left the childcare this morning. Good job, darling!! Is only when you go through what we had went through then only you will fully understand and feel exactly as what i feel now.
When Charlene meimei joined the childcare in Apr last year, it took her about 2 - 3 weeks to finally settle herself in the childcare without 'singing' her favourite song 'mommy ~ mommy~' every other second after i dropped her in the childcare everyday. When she had found her comfort zone in the childcare, she was looking forward to go to the childcare every morning and singing all the way home when i fetched her every afternoon, there was a huge relieve when i witnessed this progress...
And when our maid left us in Sep last year, we had no choice but sending Charlene meimei to the childcare for full day instead of half day. Everything was fine in the beginning until months later. There was a period where we were going through a battle every morning before we sent her to the childcare. If you were our neighbour, guess you will definitely hate to be our neighbour and wonder what's going on in this house. We were struggling with waking Charlene meimei up, bathed her, changed her into her school uniform, please her to finish her milk with thousands of killer stare, shouting, reprimanding, canning session and of course millions of sweet talk which still cannot cheer her up. The worst part was Mr Father had to drag her to the childcare with her shouting and punching all the way, then only able to leave with teacher helps to pull her off from his shoulder. According to Mr Father, he always left with the calling of "baba!! baba!!" at his back. Think whoever had seen this scene will be wondering what is this man doing, is he trying to kidnap the little girl. Oh god, can you imaging how unwilling i was to wake up and face the battle every morning during that time. After about 1.5 month later, Charlene meimei finally cool down, and got used with her daily routine, waked up, cleaned, changed uniform, finished her milk, then left the home with a loud BYE BYE while running to the lift. Phew! We were definitely felt that our shoulder was so so much lighter by the time... Until now i still can't figure out what happened to her during that period of time.
Charlene meimei still attempt to the routine very well ever since then till now. With the new year starting, a batch of more senior kids in her group had upgraded to the nursery, where Charlene meimie has another year to go. And with a new batch of younger kids joined in, Charlene meimei is an 'old bird' in her group now.
Usually Mr Father is the one who send her to the childcare in the morning on his way to work, and he always complained that Charlene meimei wasn't look at him whenever he waved goodbye to her.
This morning we sent Charlene meimei to the childcare together since is Mr Father's off day. While Mr Father waited outside the childcare, me accompanied Charlene meimei went in to the childcare, and seeing her putting her bag n shoes in place, then went to the toilet to wash her hand, and walked to the table, sat down and waited for her breakfast to be served by the teachers, with a few kids still crying out loud for their daddy mommy (which remind me of old times when Charlene meimei just joined in), i felt pleased to see Charlene be so disciplined, then i make my way out with "bye, Charlene'. To my surprise, Charlene meimei actually smile and shouted "BYE-BYE!" with a big wave.
OH MY GOD!! I can felt how envy of those anxious parents who peeping their kids outside the childcare. I left for our groceries shopping with a big smile on my face.
YOU'RE NOW MY BIG GIRL AND I'M A PROUD MOMMY OF YOU!!
